We understand that getting around can sometimes become more challenging with age, and we’re here to make every journey as smooth, comfortable, and stress-free as possible.
Our drivers are courteous, patient, and happy to offer a helping hand where needed, whether that means assisting you with getting into and out of the vehicle, carrying shopping bags, or simply taking a bit more time so you never feel rushed. We treat every passenger with kindness and respect.

Baby & Child Friendly
We can install a high-back car seat or booster cushion for your journey (or both if required). Just remember to select the appropriate seat when you book, and we’ll make sure to have it in the vehicle when we pick you up.
Please note, the high-back car seat is likely to require some configuring depending on your child’s height and weight, so please allow some extra time for this. We have a duty to ensure that the seat is correctly configured for your child, but we don’t want to make you late!
Here are some more details about the available options:
Cuggl Partridge Group 1/2/3 ISOFIX high-back car seat with internal 5-point harness, adjustable head support and side impact protection. Suitable for babies aged 9 months to children aged up to 12 years or 135cm height; 9–36kg.
Bebeconfort Manga i-Fix ISOFIX backless booster cushion. Suitable for children aged 6 up to 12 years; 128–135cm height; 22–36kg.
Student Friendly
We offer a 10% student discount!
Just use the code STUDENT10 in the booking form, and please remember to bring your valid student ID to show your driver.
WE DO OXFORD STUDENT MOVES!
If you and your stuff need transporting up or down the country, we provide a nationwide service to/from Oxford. Our large estate car is usually big enough to fit everything from an average student room.
If you have any bulky furniture then you’ll probably need to hire a van, but if you’ve just got the contents of your student room then we can almost certainly help.
Wheelchair Friendly
We understand that accessibility is about more than just wheelchairs! We know it’s about patience, respect, and ensuring our passengers are treated with dignity and care.
Here at Abbey Cars we don’t currently have a vehicle equipped with a wheelchair ramp or lift, but if you have a foldable wheelchair your driver will be happy to help you into and out of the vehicle, and to stow your folded wheelchair in the boot.
If you (or someone you’re booking for) use a wheelchair, please let us know in the comments section of the booking form, so we can be fully prepared to assist.

Neurodiverse Friendly
We understand that everyone experiences the world differently – and that includes how we travel.
We are proud to be neurodiverse-friendly, and we’re committed to providing a calm, respectful, and accommodating environment for all our passengers, including those who are autistic, those with learning differences, ADHD, etc.
We know that for some passengers, things like unexpected noise, bright lights, or changes in routine can cause stress. Rest assured, your driver will be patient, understanding, and flexible.
If you have any specific needs – whether that’s keeping conversation to a minimum, or helping to maintain a predictable journey – we’re more than happy to accommodate.
We encourage passengers (or their carers) to let us know in the comments section of the booking form if there’s anything we can do to make the journey more comfortable.

Dog & Small Animal Friendly
We know that pets are part of the family, so we’re more than happy to welcome your well-behaved dog or other small animal in our vehicles, on the condition that they do not suffer from travel-sickness.
We also ask that you keep your pet secure and under control during the journey – this means your dog’s collar or harness attached to a headrest restraint (which we will provide), and other small pets secured in an appropriate carrier.
If you are planning on bringing your pet (and particularly if your pet is nervous or has any special requirements), please let us know in the comments section of the booking form, and we’ll do our best to make the experience as calm and stress-free as possible.

Ski & Snowboard Friendly
We are happy to provide transport for passengers travelling with ski and snowboard equipment.
Whether you’re heading off to the slopes for a winter holiday or returning from an alpine adventure, we’ll help to get you and your gear safely where you need to go.
Our large estate car can accommodate 2 sets of ski or snowboard equipment for 2 passengers and related luggage, provided we’re made aware in advance.
Please let us know about your gear in the comments section of the booking form, and we’ll ensure that the vehicle is configured to handle your equipment.
We’re committed to providing you with a smooth and reliable service, so you can focus on enjoying your journey to or from the slopes.
Skater & Scooter Friendly
We are happy to accommodate passengers travelling with skateboards and scooters, including electric skateboards and electric scooters.
Whether you’re heading to a skatepark, commuting with your e-scooter or esk8, or simply bringing your kit along for the ride, our drivers are ready to help.
As long as your equipment is clean and can be safely stored during the journey – either in the boot or securely held – we’re more than happy to transport it.
